Depending on your career goals, here’s what you need to consider
First things first, a college only offers undergraduate programs, and a university offers both undergraduate and graduate programs
Now, should you use a public or private institution?
Public: is funded by the government, and these are state colleges, and universities, and will include the state in the name. For example, the University of Utah or the University of Oregon
Private: Is funded by tuition, alumni donations, and endowments, so tuition may be higher than average
What about community college?
Community college provides technical training and diplomas. A community college typically offers two-year associate degree programs. And fall under general education. They’re set up to allow students to either enter the workforce directly or transfer to a university or college.
